How to choose a transport trolley for easy handling of containers and crates

A transport trolley is a type of equipment used to move various goods (containers, boxes, tools) over short distances: across the territory of a supermarket, warehouse, production or industrial facility. The use of such a device allows you to optimize the work of personnel when placing products, assembling and ordering according to consignment notes.

What are the types of transport trolleys

The equipment is presented in several modifications, which allows you to choose the optimal model for solving a certain range of tasks. Depending on the control mechanism, the transport trolley is of the following types:

  • manual. The model has found its application in small warehouses or enterprises with a small turnover. The operator manually controls the structure - he simply pushes it in front of him or pulls it by a special handle, which is equipped with a rubberized pad. Advantages of the model: functionality, reliability, ease of use and affordable cost;
  • hydraulic. The model has found its application in medium-sized warehouses, since, due to its design features, it can carry heavy loads. The cart is equipped with a hydraulic mechanism that facilitates the process of controlling the device - raising and lowering the working area;
  • self-propelled. The advantage of the model is the presence of an electric motor that ensures the movement of equipment. The trolley is used in warehouses with a large cargo flow (from 100 containers per day). The operator controls the equipment from behind, or simply drives it.

Attention! The most budget-friendly option is the hand-held container transport trolley, which is simple and easy to operate.

The equipment is designed for transportation of different types of mounted and trailed headers for harvesting rapeseed, sunflower, corn and other types of crops. The device is aggregated with imported and domestic harvesters.
Before buying a means for transporting containers, you need to pay attention not only to the type of control, but also to the design features of the equipment. Depending on the version, a distinction is made between frame, solid and reinforced models. The first option is the simplest, capable of carrying cargo with a maximum weight of up to 150 kg. In their design, only a rectangular frame with a hole in the middle is distinguished. Solid models are considered to be more practical during operation. Their design has a frame covered with a plastic or metal sheet on top. Equipment carrying capacity - up to 200 kg. As for models with a reinforced structure, they are capable of handling heavy loads. Compared to frame and solid versions, such equipment has a larger size and is designed to transport boxes and containers weighing up to 500 kg.
The trolley is usually equipped with four self-turning wheels, which are characterized by a double design. They are placed in the corners of the frame. For the manufacture of wheel bearings, high-quality materials (steel, propylene) are used, since the maneuverability, functionality and ease of use of the equipment depend on their characteristics. The contact layer is made of rubber, polyurethane, polyamide.
