A stacker is a type of warehouse equipment that is designed to move, lift and lower loads. It is one of the varieties of a forklift, but at the same time it is allocated in a separate category, since it is used specifically for stacking goods. This technique is actively used in warehouses, building supermarkets, in agriculture, in trade and manufacturing enterprises. It allows you to mechanize the workflow, speed up warehousing and unloading procedures, and reduce the burden on employees.

Semi-electric stacker is one of the varieties of this technique. It is equipped with an electric motor powered by a battery. The engine drives the forks, raising and lowering them to the desired height. Simply push a button to turn on the motor. No training is required to operate the device.

Attention: the machine itself moves around the warehouse using the muscular strength of the operator. You don't need much effort for this - it moves with ease on a flat and solid surface.

Unit advantages
Modern semi-electric units have a lifting capacity of 1,000–1,500 kg. They can lift loads up to 3.5 meters. Usually equipped with motors up to 1.6 kW. A classic car battery with a capacity of 120 V / Ah is used for power supply. It is enough for a full working day, even with intensive use.

Semi-electric machines are commonly used in small warehouses and shops. For large rooms, it is better to choose electric ones, which are moved by a second engine. They are more expensive and require more careful maintenance.

The advantages of semi-electric units include:

High reliability, long service life. The design of the semi-electric stacker is quite simple, it does not take much time and effort for maintenance.
High performance. An experienced employee using a stacker can perform up to 10 actions per hour. If the warehouse is with high traffic, it is better to purchase an electric model that facilitates the transportation process.
Compact dimensions. This vehicle does not have a counterweight, as in a conventional lift, so it does not take up much space and easily passes through narrow corridors.
Affordable price. Since there are no complex hydraulic units in the design, the equipment has a low cost compared to more advanced models.
Environmental Safety. The unit does not emit exhaust gases, therefore it can be used in closed rooms. He also does not need oil, but it is recommended to lubricate the guides periodically.
Attention: low noise level is also a plus. The unit does not make loud noises when moving or lifting, so it can be used in shops or other areas with visitors or employees.

When choosing a suitable model, you need to take into account its dimensions and carrying capacity. For a standard warehouse, units that lift up to 1,000 kg are quite enough. If you have to work with several pallets, and they are heavy, then you should choose the larger equipment. Also pay attention to the dimensions of the forks. They can be full size or shortened to handle small pallets.
